Synergy Integrated Solutions is a multi-division company that consists of an import, manufacturing, wholesale and retail aluminium sections, with a wholesale ceiling and service access panel company and a China based manufacturing company that has customers in the USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The company was working with Reckon Accounts (formerly QuickBooks) and this solution did not provide a suitable answer to Synergy groups needs. Reckon Accounts does not support multi-location inventory, does not have the detail or the robustness the company wanted. Synergy also wanted to ensure the security of their company and wanted a software solution that had a user-friendly interface and link with Reckon Accounts to ensure the accounting side of the company was taken care of.

Synergy Integrated Solutions decided that Fishbowl Inventory with Manufacturing software solution was the right choice. The user-friendly interface and the ability to post accounting information back to Reckon Accounts whenever needed, while limiting access to the accounting software made Fishbowl Inventory Manufacturing Edition an ideal choice.

The Results

The company now has greater control over the inventory for Synergy Aluminum Towers. Tracking the company’s assets accurately with the Chinese based manufacturing division is a major benefit, and alleviates the need for the company’s directors to always be there. The user-friendly interface and uniform icon guided functions allowed the teaching of Fishbowl Inventory to the Chinese team a breeze.

The Synergy Group has also benefited from the time saved due to the easy to navigate, and streamlined work flow of the Fishbowl Inventory with Manufacturing software. It also has led to more accountability of the purchasing team for managing inventory and the yardmen who carry out stock takes.
